  • There were approximately 3 unbraked wagons to every braked one on the Festiniog.

  • The Festiniog Railway was almost unique in that its slate wagons displayed their running number, rather than their tare weight.

  • The number was placed on the solebar, at its centre.

  • We will supply running number(s) of our choice from our current stock.

  • If you already have slate wagon numbers, tell us what they are and we will try to avoid repeating them.

  • If you want specific numbers for your slate wagons, please contact us and we will make them as a special transfer
